Travis Anderson
Instruments: Trumpet. Trombone, French Horn, Baritone, Tuba
Travis W. Anderson is an accomplished young euphoniumist from Rowley, MA. Now a freelance musician Travis performs with many small ensembles all over New England. In addition to ensemble playing, Travis performs as a featured soloist in the greater Boston area. His solo performance career has taken him to venues in Florence, Italy, Montecatini, Italy, and in the 2005 All State Conference in Boston, MA. Travis is currently a performing member of the New England Brass Band and the New England Tuba Quartet. A former student at Gordon College, Travis studied music performance with Dr. David Rox. He continues to play euphonium with the Gordon College Wind Ensemble and the Gordon College Symphonic Band.Travis is a recorded soloist and has performed in over a dozen ensemble recordings.
Travis has studied with Dr. David Rox on the euphonium/trombone, Robert Bradshaw on the trumpet, Bill Gray on the tuba/brass pedagogy, Chester Roberts on brass methods, and Aaron Vanderweele on euphonium. He is currently a student of renowned euphonium soloist Aaron VanderWeele of the Salvation Army’s New York Staff Band.
Travis has recently been added to the faculty at the Fabulous School to teach all the brass instruments. He teaches Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Baritone, Euphonium and Tuba. We are very fortunate and honored to have such a versatile teacher on board.
