Tiffany Baxter
Instruments: Voice, Piano
Soprano, Tiffany Baxter, holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Indiana University, one of the top music schools in the nation. A private voice teacher for over 15 years, Tiffany enjoys teaching students of all ages a healthy, breath-based technique which applies to all styles. As a member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing), her students have participated in regional competitions. Tiffany has helped prepare her students for auditions and performances of various kinds. Whether her students have larger ambitions, or just want to learn the basics of singing, Tiffany encourages each student to find his/her unique voice.
In the local community, Tiffany has recently performed the roles of "Gwendolen" in The Importance of Being Earnest and "Mrs. Paroo" in The Music Man. She is currently directing the music for Seussical the Musical Jr. with The Theater of Light in Salem. Tiffany has sung with the Opera Theater of St. Louis and the professional chorus of Oregon’s Portland Opera. Her opera and musical theater roles include "The 2nd Lady" in Mozart's The Magic Flute, "Mercedes" in Bizet’s Carmen, “Audrey” in Little Shop of Horrors and “Sarah” in Guys and Dolls.
Tiffany uses her piano proficiency and strong musicianship to teach students keyboard fundamentals. She systematically takes her students through the levels of Alfred's Prep Course and uses supplemental materials to strengthen note-naming skills, scales and to expand repertoire. Tiffany offers a recital at the end of June for all of her piano and voice students. She teaches at the Brookwood School in Manchester and has been on the Fabulous Faculty for over three years. We are thrilled to have her!
