School Policies & Lesson Rates
No school registration fees
Unlike most music schools in our region, the Fabulous School of Music has no registration fee. We will place you with a teacher that teaches your instrument on the day you prefer. Your new teacher will contact you to set up the actual time of your lessons directly with you. The teachers do their own scheduling.
School Lesson Rates
The lesson rates for the Fabulous School of Music effective January 2010
$25 for a ½ Hour Lesson
$37.50 for a 45 Minute Lesson
$50 for an Hour Lesson
Payment Methods
Teachers should be paid directly. You do have the option to pay for lessons weekly as you take them or monthly, whichever you prefer. No other music school in our region allows you that freedom. Checks should be made out to your teacher, not to the Fabulous School of Music. We also offer the option of paying online to allow the use of Charge Cards for payment. Please include your teacher’s name with your lesson order to ensure proper credit.
School Cancellation Policy
We understand that sometimes things come up, but school policy for cancellation is that you will be charged for a lesson if your teacher does not receive a 48-hour notice. If you need to miss a lesson for any reason, it is imperative that you contact your teacher directly as soon as possible to ensure that they get your message promptly. If your teacher receives sufficient notice, they may be able to set up a make-up lesson for you and may also be able to fill your spot with another student. Teachers still have to pay rent for their lesson room, even if you don’t show. Missed lessons will be made up by your teacher for teacher absences or school cancellations. A student absence may be made up solely by your teacher’s discretion.
Inclement Weather policy:
If there is a weather issue (snow, hurricane etc.) and you feel it is questionable if the school will close or not, please call your teacher directly to find out. If there is inclement weather and the school decides it best not to have lessons that day, you will not be charged. You will be contacted by your teacher in the event that the school does close or if your teacher can not make it and again you won’t be charged for the missed lesson.
Don’t forget to practice!
