The Fabulous School 2010 "Rock Summer Camp" starts July 8th!

When:
Rock Summer Camp will be offered on Thursday or Friday afternoon/evenings. There will be an organizational meeting on either Thursday, July 8th at 5pm or Friday, July 9th at 4pm. All students wishing to enroll should attend either meeting at the school to set up the actual bands and to schedule the weekly sessions.
Who:
Middle and High School Students. Students will be placed in groups determined by their age, musical development, musical tastes, their schedules and the instruments they play.
Where:
The Fabulous School of Music’s Ensemble Room-8 Bow Street, Beverly, MA. The Ensemble Room is a fully equipped practice room with a piano, amps, drum set and PA system. Students will be able to arrive, tune up, plug in & play!
How Long:
8 weeks (8-One hour sessions)
What:
Students will learn how to play in a band with other musicians their age. The groups decide which songs to be played and then work on them during the 10 sessions. They will also learn basic & advanced song forms, vocals, harmonies, instrumental coaching, and have the experience of preparing songs for a live performance. At the end of the summer, the groups will showcase their songs either at the “Overtime Pub” or the “Pickled Onion” in Beverly, date & time TBA.

Total Cost:
$200 for the entire summer (8-One hour sessions) including the final performance. You may pay on line or by check. Checks should be made payable to the instructor and are due at the first session
